Dental Bridges

When Is a Good Time For a Bridge?

A bridge uses neighboring teeth for support, filling the gap with a natural-looking replacement that helps you chew comfortably, speak clearly, and maintain proper alignment of your remaining teeth.

Bridges come with several advantages: they provide a stable, fixed solution that doesn’t need to be removed, the treatment is typically quicker than implants, and they can be an excellent option when the surrounding teeth already need crowns or reinforcement. They’re also a great choice for patients who may not be medically suited for implant surgery.

However, bridges do have some limitations. Because they rely on neighboring teeth for support, those teeth may need to be reshaped —even if they’re otherwise healthy. Bridges also don’t stimulate or preserve bone in the way implants do, and they may need replacement over time due to normal wear or changes in your supporting teeth.

Our team at Tooth Room Dental will walk you through each option, helping you understand whether a bridge is the best fit for your needs, your long-term oral health, and your comfort.
